What Is Your Good Reason?

What Is Your Good Reason?

“If not now, when”? Sometimes I want to ask the question a more direct way, “What are you waiting for?”… “What is your good reason?”

That’s the question I usually ask the people I coach, and the reasons why they can’t do something might surprise you. (Then again, maybe it wouldn’t) I ask executive clients the same sort of thing. It quickly becomes clear to them, and to me, that they can effortlessly rationalize why they can’t act now, but can’t imagine when they will act.

Some days my clients tackle making changes in staff, addressing their relationship issues, starting to ask for referrals, proposing a six-figure retainer, beginning to live healthy, reducing how hard they work, or stopping caring about irrelevant criticism; other days I just ask when will they begin treating themselves better.
It usually comes down to the simplest of questions. When will you be less fearful, and stop procrastinating?

If not now, when? What are you waiting for?

Regardless of your age, if you aren’t careful, your life slips away in bits and pieces before you can make it what you want and live it. Now is the time. “When” is now.

What are you putting off, for no good reason? Think about it and answer this, if not now, when? Now is a good time to start.

You have permission to choose.
